Darrik's Corner

I would like to make this post Darrik's update on life...

Darrik had his court of honor about a week ago and his family was there to support him! Ashley got to be Darrik's mother which was decided by both darrik and I and Garrett was his father. Ashley is the mother, and I am the kewl older sis who he loves to hang out with!! Sorry ash, I couldn't resist to tell everyone. Anyway, Darrik got to go up and give his thanks and I felt like he gave the best thank you speech out of the bunch, 14 boys! Just wanted to tell ya Darrik good job and glad we all could be there!

Then last Saturday night he had his "Light" concert. Of course you know his older sisters are gonna be there. Darrik was the best one up there, both Ashley and I were suprised he wasn't in the front more often. But then again there was that one song Darrik was on the very top riser and he fell off, maybe thats why...Just playing. It was a long but nice concert. Afterwards we got cold stone which always puts the cherry on top of a music event. Darrik is a talented and gifted young man who has talent on the stage, good job!! We couldn't be more prouder!

Clark's PS3

So Clark has been wanting a PS3 really bad lately, now that he has his big screen tv, hd channels, Wii game system, and Resident Evil 4 he has moved on to bigger things. I must say I have other things on my mind, like hmmm.....maybe Brooklyn in 3 MONTHS but i guess since she isn't here and he doesn't carry her like I do he can't imagine the things to get her now. So I told him he could get it as long as he earned the money. He thought of eating out less to get his cash, working overtime, and he "favorite" job in the whole wide world....Surveying!! (those of you who know clark know that I am only joking, sarcasm is what we call it nowadays) Last saturday he went out with his dad and I joined along with to keep him company, his sister Lizzie came as well. We went out west and did a land split. It wasn't tonz-of-fun but it wasn't horrible either and Clark made some pretty good money doing it. He would be made at me if I didn't post these pictures either. We stopped for breakfast at a crossuant place and when we walked out Clark was in love and happy. He took out my camera and tooks snaps. It was funny, boys and their toys. Well, just wanted to tell Clark that I am proud he is earning his PS3 and someday he will thank me. ( I feel like his mother!) Love you baby!

Brooklyn's 5th and 6th word...

Well Clark's parents got back from Hawaii on Sunday and last night we got the chance to stop by and say hi. They told us of all the fun they had fishing and just being in paradise, we were really jealous. Then it came for gift time. Clark got a really nice polo for work, I got flip flops, and Brooklyn made out like a Bandit!! She got 2 pairs of sandals, 2 dresses, a onesie with a matching hat, a surfer swimsuit with a built in swimmer diaper, bibs, a necklace, bracelet, and hair bands. Everything is adorable and can't wait to see her in it all. So Clark and I have already planned what Brooklyn's 5th and 6th word will be...5th is Papa and the 6th is Hawaii!!! We think it might do the trick and we would be lucky to go again. We can already tell that Brooklyn has a place in Bob's (and Julie's) heart and he hasn't even seen her smile or have her on his lap......We shall see!!

What happens when your inlaws go to Hawaii and are thinking of home!!

Thank sis!!!

Just wanted to take this time to thank my sister Ashley for all her love and support, and help, through out my life! She has always been there for me and is a great example. I know I can go to her for anything and she will always lend a helping hand whether it was taking me in to live with her, giving me all the baby supplies I need for Brooklyn, showing up for all my talks or performances for church, she was always there. Thank you sis for everything you have done, you are doing and have yet to do for me! I love you so much and am truly thankful that you picked to be in my family, and yes you did choose in case you forget! Love you Ashley!!

Mission Calls...

So last thursday I had the great opportunity to go to Laura and Johnny barratt's mission call "opening". They were many many old faces from the lehi 5th ward and old friends, it was fun and also weird at the same time. Laura was the first to go and her calling is to Armenia Yerevan Mission which is next to turkey and Iran by the Black Sea. Laura was shaking the rest of the night because now she is scared to go to another country. She kept saying she should have put only state side. Then Johnny went, he was called to the Argentia Salta Mission. Everyone was excited for them because they are the first ones in the family to go out of the country. Both Johnny and Laura leave on May 28th which is pretty neat and hopefully Brooklyn will make her apprience before lala leaves! It was a fun time and I wish Lala the best of luck on her mission as well as her brother Johnny.
This is her opening her call....To tell ya the truth I guessed she would go to Nauvoo and be one of the performers there in costume and all, yeah not so.

Yeah can you tell I am pregnant? Me and Lala
So Brother Barrett was more giddy then the two of them, he even weighed the packets before they opened them to see if maybe they were to the same place or if he could tell a difference...4.8 oc they were! it was so cute. Love ya Brother B
